How to type when some of the keys of keyboard are not functioning in Window XP / Windows 7 || On-Screen-Keyboard
The keyboard is the main input device of your Laptop or Desktop and it is the part and parcel of a computer. Without a keyboard, you can do nothing on your computer and your computer becomes useless.

But, when your Laptop or keyboard becomes old day-by-day, in most of the time, some of the keys of keyboard may go faulty or may not be functioning properly.

In such cases, how you can fix the problem or how can you type those keys in your Laptop or Desktop! 

But, there is no need to worry that you can’t work after some of the keys have gone faulty or no need to make it repaired immediately. Since there is an inbuilt on-screen keyboard in Windows XP & Windows 7 which has similar nos. of keys and you can utilize it with your mouse itself in all respects effectively.

But, how? It is very simple and there may arise two cases in doing it as mentioned below:

Case (a) : When PC mouse is ok, b) O, S, K and /or Enter keys of the keyboard are ok


Step 1 :                                                                                                                           


Go to Start->Run

Step 2 :                                                                                                                          


Then type osk in against Open and click OK or press Enter (if Enter key is ok).


Step 3 :                                                                                                                          


 On-Screen-Keyboard


It will prompt the on-screen-keyboard in a fraction of second as shown above. Now, you can click the keys by using your mouse for your works.


Case (b): When the only the mouse is ok.


Step 1 :                                                                                                                           


Click Start


Step 2 :                                                                                                                          


Move the mouse cursor to All Programs and wait for a second, it shows the list of all applications and application folders under it.

Step 3 :                                                                                                                          


Move the mouse cursor to the Accessories folder and click it. It shows the list of applications under the accessories folder.


Step 4 :                                                                                                                          



Click the Run application. It will prompt the Run window.


Step 5 :                                                                                                                          


Now, find an old Microsoft word or any other document saved in your computer which contains “O“, “S” and “K” letters irrespective of upper case or lower case. If you find these letters in the file, then you just Copy and Past these letters one by one continuously in the space against Open in Run window.


Step 6 :                                                                                                                          



Now click the OK button of Run window. It will prompt the On-Screen-Keyboard in your computer screen and you can use the keys by clicking keys with the help of a mouse only as long as you wish to provide you have to be able to log in the computer.
