How to enable Search Description or Meta Description in Blogger
Search Description or Meta Description is a space where you can place a few sentences describing your blog post or article and those will visible in search engine page while some search something matches with your post title. So, this feature of Blogger is very

useful to increase visitors traffic to your blog post. This post shows you how to enable Search Description or Meta Description in Blogger if is it not enabled previously.

Here, we have provided you the steps with screenshots for your better understanding.

So, follow the steps below:


 Step 1 : Check whether the feature is enabled                                              





Log in to your blogger account and Click Posts.







Then click New Post.






It prompts new post edit view as above. In the right side of your view, if you can’t see Search Description option under Post Settings then it means that Search Description is not enabled by default in your blogger.

 Step 2 : Go to Settings                                                                                            


Then, click Settings.




Then, click Search preferences.


 Step 3 : Edit Description                                                                                       




Search preferences view will be prompted. Here, you can see the [Disabled] against Description ? because the feature is not enabled. Now, click Edit at the right corner of [Disable].


 Step 4 : Enable the feature                                                                                   







After that, there are Yes or No buttons as shown above. Now click Yes to enable to feature and No is for disabling the same.




 Step 5 : Save Changes                                                                                             


Then, click Save changes as shown in the above image.




 Step 6 : See Description                                                                                        


Now, the previous Disabled option is not seen. That means it has been enabled.

 Step 7 : Confirm the changes                                                                              







To check it, again go to Posts–>New Post. Under Post settings, you will see the Search Description feature in 2nd last row along with other features. Then, click Search Description.




Now, you can see the space available for placing or writing your Post Description or Introduction.
